Way back in the mists of time (2006 to be precise), I decided to start a blog. It was called Moments and Musings and over the space of 6 years, I shared my thoughts and all the exciting (or not so exciting) things I had been up to.
Then I stopped.
I can't remember now exactly why I dropped it, but I think I just got out of the habit of journalling, particularly when I had separate blogs (about tea, holidays etc.) to cover the more interesting things I did.
But now I'm back.
I'm not sure why, but maybe with the start of the new year, I feel the urge to keep a record of my life once more. I decided to start a brand new blog rather than continue with the old one, as the last entry was in 2012 - far too long ago to comfortably return to.
To be honest, it's not a very interesting life - the pandemic of 2020 changed a lot of things for me (and the rest of the world), and with ongoing health problems, most of my time is spent at home, alone. I currently work from home full-time and have an anxiety disorder that makes leaving my flat difficult (and sometimes impossible, depending on the day).
However, I really wanted to start journalling again, and this seemed like the perfect way to go about it. I'm not sure what form these posts will take; whether they will be notes, diary entries or brief comments, but I want to try to post something daily - even if just to update what I've been doing/watching/listening to, or my thoughts for the day.
Expect lots of references to Korean and Chinese drama, K-Pop (and a bit of mandopop and J-pop) along with my western music interests, and probably some Harry Potter sprinkled in here and there too.
One of my to-do's this year is to finally properly start to learn to speak Korean - then again, I've been saying that for at least 2 years now and never got around to doing anything about it. However, hopefully, this year will be the year when I finally make a start.
If you're checking out my posts, then welcome. It's good to have you along for the ride.
