So we did eventually get to the Gary Numan concert on Saturday evening, although it took hours as I got stuck in a traffic jam on the way to Quincy's, so we didn't get to the Electric Ballroom until after he had gone on stage (fortunately, we only missed a couple of tracks).
Obviously, I was too late for a stool, although someone did eventually offer me one. But the accessibility person at the venue mentioned there were seats upstairs, so we went up there instead. I couldn't see anything but the sound quality was better than sitting in the bar with everyone chatting and I could see Gary and the band on a TV screen.
It was then time for the long trek home, by which time I was completely knackered and in a lot of pain. This continued through yesterday, hence why I didn't blog. Today, I actually feel even worse, I definitely have no spoons right now. I'm so glad our next concerts (Blue October) aren't until next week so I have time to recover, and are spaced a couple of days apart.
I've neglected the April playlist a bit, but today I added a whole load of new tracks (about 170 π±), one of which is EXO's Japanese song, Bird - The Best version. I know you're all thinking that this will definitely be in my top 3 singles for the month by default as I'm biased towards my favourite band, but it's actually a live reissue from their Japanese birthday fan meeting last weekend, so is excluded from my list (hence why I'm mentioning it here because it will get lost in that massive playlist and it's a great song).
No idea when I'm going to get the energy to work my way through the new stuff but with 2 weeks still to go until the end of the month and some banging releases that I know are still to come, choosing my top 3s may be even more difficult than previous months. And no, I still haven't decided on March's (or January's π), but I have created a MV playlist on Youtube in case you want to see the videos. Merlin only knows what my Receiptify for the month will look like (although Lu Han and Zhang Binbin have still been played quite a lot so guessing they will be there).
Anyway, I don't have anything else to say, so it's on to the birthdays, and there are a lot of them.
First up are Jinho and Hongseok from Pentagon. Rather than posting pictures, here is the two of them singing a cover of Lee So Ra's Track 9.
*sigh* These guys have such beautiful voices. I love them ❤️
Next up is Jonggeun, from recently debuted band Haww (the EP, How R U is in my February playlist).
Today is also the birthday of the magnificent and beautiful actor, Lee Joon Gi, who has appeared in so many great shows and films; my favourite being Flower of Evil (2020).
Finally, but definitely not least. Hyuk from Tempest is celebrating both his birthday and the release of the band's latest EP, The Calm Before the Storm. Here's the MV of the lead track Dangerous. I've been a fan of the band ever since their debut last March. Hyuk is the main vocalist with rose-gold hair.
